Sucheta Deb Burman Unleashing the Depths
I’ve had quite a swim journey from the time I was 4 years old, competitively swimming till I discovered the joy of open water swimming. My first open water swim in 2019 was 81 kms in the river Hooghly, 12 hours of being in the unknown & absolutely blissful. Swimming 36 kms for 8 hours & 45 minutes in the Arabian sea watching the glistering Mumbai skyline at night & dolphins swimming with me to give me company.
Watching the sunrise, sunset & the clear night sky lit with billions of stars while I swim one stroke at a time for 62 kms over19 hours in the Ram Sethu. Despite the beauty or successful swims; the major challenges are swimming alone & constantly motivation myself to keep going in the unknown waters, take my nutrition without swallowing salt water & be able to consistently maintain my energy levels & speed.
No matter how many swims I have done, it’s never the same! I must be prepared for anything, tolerate the stings of jellyfish & overcome monotony. Despite the challenges, why do I swim? Mostly LOVE but also enjoy the beauty of nature, who I am when I’m swimming in the endless blue & be able to continue to push my boundaries of endurance.
When my pursuit of endurance started, I heard about Unived; tried it, well the rest is history! When I am training long hours Unived helps to maintain my energy levels, steadily restores energy in moderation & consistence. I use their vegan supplements that work for me during my training; to enhance performance, recovery & build the energy needed for next day’s training or swimming endless hours in the sea; the powerful electrolytes & tasty flavours of elite gels making me stronger with every stroke & breath I take. I just focused on swimming through sunrise, sunset, rough or calm seas and Unived gives me the specific energy & nutrition to: JUST KEEP SWIMMING! My journey will forever continue with them! In strength, positive energy & the power to excel in my field! Thank you Unived! Together, let’s keep striving to achieve greater heights!
