Why liposomal and not standard Vitamin C?
Standard ascorbic acid is absorbed via sodium-dependent vitamin C transporters in the intestinal lining, which become saturated as luminal concentrations rise. Liposomal encapsulation allows Vitamin C to be delivered via membrane fusion and endocytosis, pathways that are not subject to the same saturation ceiling, supporting more efficient systemic delivery per milligram consumed.
Why only 65mg per capsule when many supplements contain 500mg–1000mg?
The 65mg dose represents 100% of the ICMR RDA — the evidence-aligned daily requirement for physiological function. High-dose ascorbic acid supplementation is subject to diminishing returns due to transporter saturation and renal clearance of excess ascorbate. By delivering the RDA through a liposomal system optimised for uptake, the goal is maximum utilisation of every milligram — not excess excretion.
What are citrus bioflavonoids and why are they included?
Citrus bioflavonoids are polyphenolic compounds naturally found alongside Vitamin C in citrus fruits. They contribute complementary antioxidant activity and are associated with support of vascular and connective tissue integrity. Their inclusion reflects the natural co-occurrence of these compounds in whole-food sources of Vitamin C.
Is this suitable for daily use?
Yes. At 65mg per capsule (100% RDA), this formulation is designed for consistent daily use to maintain adequate Vitamin C status.
Is this product suitable for athletes?
Yes. Vitamin C plays a role in supporting immune resilience under training load, contributes to connective tissue maintenance, and participates in antioxidant defence — all relevant to individuals under regular physical stress. The liposomal delivery system is designed to support efficient uptake regardless of gut status during training periods.
