What makes Rebuild different from the other Unived proteins?
It's the recovery-and-sleep protein. Where Complete Protein is clean everyday nutrition and Elite Performance Protein is a daytime training stack, Elite Rebuild Protein is built for the evening and overnight window: 25g of complete protein for repair, plus a high 259mg dose of magnesium glycinate to relax muscles and support sleep — and no caffeine or stimulants, so it won't keep you up.
When should I take it?
Post-workout or in the evening. It's designed for the recovery window and for overnight repair, and because the magnesium supports relaxation and sleep, taking it at night works well. A single scoop in 450ml of water or your beverage of choice.
Will it actually help me sleep?
Honestly: it's not a sedative, and it won't knock you out. What it does is supply a well-absorbed 259mg dose of magnesium glycinate, which supports muscle relaxation and sleep quality, alongside amino acids that feed overnight repair. If poor magnesium status or post-training tension is affecting your sleep, this is designed to help with that — as part of a good wind-down routine, not as a sleeping pill.
How much magnesium is in it, and what form?
259mg of elemental magnesium — 67% of the daily requirement — supplied as magnesium glycinate. To reach that high dose in one scoop, the formula uses a combination of chelated and buffered magnesium glycinate. (If you specifically want a pure, non-buffered chelate on its own, that's our standalone Magnesium Bisglycinate Chelate Pure.)
Why only 25g protein, when Elite Performance has 30g?
Because 25g is a well-judged recovery dose — still a complete protein (PDCAAS 1.0) with all nine essential amino acids and around 2.09g of leucine to trigger muscle protein synthesis. Overnight repair is about a steady, complete feed rather than the biggest possible number.
Can I use it every day, including rest days?
Yes. Recovery and sleep matter just as much on rest days — arguably more — so a daily evening serving is a sensible habit whether or not you trained that day.
Should I choose Rebuild or Elite Performance — or both?
It depends on the job. Elite Performance Protein is your daytime, around-training stack (creatine, nitrates, taurine, electrolytes). Elite Rebuild Protein is your evening / overnight recovery and sleep protein (magnesium-led, stimulant-free). Plenty of athletes use both — Performance around training, Rebuild at night — since they're built for different windows of the day.
Will the magnesium upset my stomach?
Glycinate is one of the gentler, better-tolerated forms of magnesium, so it's far less likely to cause the loose stools associated with cheaper forms. That said, 259mg is a meaningful dose — if you also take a separate magnesium supplement or a multivitamin containing magnesium, add up your totals, and ease back if you notice any digestive looseness.
Does it contain caffeine or any stimulants?
No — it's deliberately caffeine- and stimulant-free. That's the point of a night-time recovery protein: it should help you wind down and sleep, not keep you awake.
Is it vegan, and does it contain allergens?
It's 100% vegan (pea + yeast protein). It's free from soy, dairy, nuts and gluten, with no added sugar, artificial colours, fillers, emulsifiers or preservatives, and it's naturally flavoured and sweetened with steviol glycosides. As always, if you have a diagnosed condition or a specific allergy concern, check with your practitioner first.
